Bipasha was born in Delhi and has spent most of her life in Calcutta. Her desire to become a doctor made her study science, till her twelfth class later she opted for Chartered Accountancy. She came into the limelight when she won the famous Ford Supermodels Contest at the age of 17. She also won the Tulips Miss Super Vivacious in the same contest. Bipasha has catwalked for all leading Indian designers, besides featuring in advertisements, she did the famous video Tu Meri Mehbooba for Sonu Nigam's album, Kismat. She was spotted by the world famous photographer, Steven Mizhel, she featured in Vogue magazine. But gave it up for family in India. Her debut role in Ajnabee has won her much praise then she got Raaz which was a major hit. Her performance was excellent in this film. In 2003 Jism came which was hit. In this she played a married woman. Bipasha deserves every bit of her success, and will definitely prove to be a strong competitor in the race to claim the top spot.
